Starting without broodstock, the company initially sourced catfish larvae directly from BBPBAT Sukabumi and became the first to introduce the Sangkuriang catfish to Binjai. Over the years, Sangkuriang Aquatic expanded its operations to include gourami, Sutra worms, and Nile tilapia, growing from a local hatchery into a professional aquaculture enterprise.

In 2014, Sangkuriang Aquatic earned the SNI CPIB certification for catfish seed quality, reflecting its commitment to excellence. The company has served as a self-reliant aquaculture extension officer since 2013 and continuously expanded its broodstock and operational capacity, becoming a registered individual PT in 2022 under the name PT. Sangkuriang Aquatic Farm. These milestones demonstrate a track record of innovation, sustainable aquaculture, and operational transparency.

Today, Sangkuriang Aquatic integrates hatchery management, processing, and cold storage infrastructure to support both freshwater and marine seafood exports.
